What is it you do again?
Working in UX means being asked over and over “What do you REALLY do?” I’ve come to a fairly succinct answer:
Personas. Userflows. Wires. Mobile. CSS. Strategy. User Research. Social Media. Planes, trains and automobiles. Annotated comps. Team building. Spreading the UX gospel. Client conversations. Transforming a brand. Learning new platforms. Late nights. Early mornings....

In September 2009, authorities at an airport in Mangalore arrested two passengers arriving from Dubai with 18 kilograms of contraband hidden in their suitcases. This wouldn’t be shocking if they were smuggling drugs, but they weren’t. Instead, the passengers were carrying nearly 90,000 dollars worth of saffron.

Just a reminder this amazing album is still available from Rhino. House of Freaks were a favorite of mine and “Sun Gone Down” is only the beginning of how wonderful an album it is.

Best Buy Offers dodgy 3D glasses sync
I’m not sure how Best Buy and Geek Squad hope to escape the poor press that keeps rolling in when they endorse such a questionable practice.
The ad states the service includes TV and Blu-ray player set-up, connection to your wireless network and “sync your 3D glasses for an amazing experience”. The package price lists the “geek” services as a $150 value. The offer’s only problem is that...

Armed Robbers Storm Poker Tournament on Live TV →
Panic swept over Berlin’s Grand Hyatt today when a group of burglars carrying Kalashnikov assault rifles waltzed into a European Poker Tour tournament and made off with $1.2 million, before a live television broadcast.
Swearists
I had a chance to finally watch In The Loop last night and I cannot say enough great things about this movie. The story is hilarious, the characters are well done, the pacing is solid and the dialog is so good I may watch it again today just to catch the lines again.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how the movie is also a string of expletives wrapped around some scenery. Not...
