A four CD collection of b-sides, alternate mixes and other goodies from Lloyd Cole’s career from 1989 to 2006. A goldmine for completists like myself who have some of these tracks in other forms.
It’s great to see Cole collecting all this material and cleaning it up for archival purposes. When put all together the cost ($50) is reasonable considering 4 discs and, to be fair, the price will be no object for a significant number of fans.
My favorite comment is “Along with the four CDs, the box set comes with a chunky booklet which, along with exhaustive credits, includes four essays written by me, which may serve to somewhat demystify these recordings. Hopefully not completely.”
